Meet The Baker
Thank you so much for visiting my Bakery website. My name is Heidi. I am a wife, and a Mother of two beautiful children and I have enjoyed baking since I was a little girl. One of my favorite memories is of my Mom letting me pick out a recipe from her Betty Crocker cookbook late at night and staying up making rice pudding with her. I am surrounded by incredible bakers and look forward to the annual Christmas baking day that I get to have with all of the women in my family. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 14 years ago. And so my journey began to find ways of baking delicious treats again. In the midst of this journey, I attended Graduate School in Los Angeles and received a Masters degree in Clinical psychology, and I began practicing as a marriage family therapist associate. It is work that I am truly passionate about as I love learning from and working with people of all backgrounds. I then fell in love with my best friend and we got married and found ourselves moving to the central coast where we started our family. One thing that remained constant throughout all of life’s changes, is my love of baking; my place of creativity, relaxation, and fun. It isn’t a coincidence that I am starting bakery during the Holidays because it isn’t uncommon to find me in the kitchen baking up some cookies with Christmas music blaring in mid-spring time. I love Christmas! Making my baked goods available to the community is something that has been on my mind for a very long time. After a series of conversations and events that took place during this past year, the path seemed clear to me, it was time! My mission is to bring all of those delicious gluten free goods that are elusive and “hard to find” and bring them straight to your Kitchen. I imagine little gluten free kids waking up on Christmas morning and enjoying one of my cinnamon rolls. It makes my heart sing just thinking about it. As Heidi’s Delights grows, I hope to become your one stop shop on the Central Coast for all of your gluten free needs.
